A Brief Return

More than four years have passed since the previous post. I am not gone. I have been active on Twitter, and will continue to be so. From time to time, I write opinion pieces, sometimes in English. Here are those not previously posted:

Very recently, in this Coronation season, I debuted as an op-ed writer in the American press, more specifically in The Washington Times, with British monarchy is outside of government in a way not even the American judiciary is. That lengthy headline was not my idea. Just ahead of His Majesty King Charles III's debut Trooping the Colour, I also had this published: Save Us from More Politics!

Red October Centennial

A century ago today, the world was hit by Red October. The Bolsheviks committed a coup against the Kerensky provisional government. And no, Lenin was no Mr. Nice Guy!

Book Soon to Be Released

The forthcoming book of which I am editor is just a few weeks from due release.

The book is titled Grunnlov og frihet: turtelduer eller erkefiender? (translated title: Constitution and Liberty: Lovebirds or Archenemies?).

Response to an Article

I don't very often receive uncivil or rude e-mail, but every once in a while I do.

Back in January, I received an e-mail from someone who had apparently read my latest LRC article. The e-mail was from a P S Burress, titled The Knight Article, and he wrote:

So you never "met the knight?"

How silly... poor you!

All we need...is a world filled with people who wish to
"kiss-up" to the oligarchs! Hows sad.

Funny how he should single out that from the entire article. Oligarchy does mean rule by the few, and the great Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn did believe in rule by the few, and he probably would have been close to the rulers, had Habsburg rule survived. Also, he was an advisor to the Archduke Otto. However, how someone could lump the great thinker in with those who go normally by the term oligarchs in our world, is beyond me.

And yes, I do reserve the right to publish uncivil or rude comments sent to me by e-mail.
