Oh my goodness, those bombs saved millions of lives and put the Soviets in check for more than a decade. What do you have a against a victory of the West?

Oh, and stop the "twice" nonsense. It is pure speculation that that Japanese would have surrendered with just one bomb.

Those 19th century Aristos that you seem to love so much would have used a great many more of them had they had the chance. They might have used them on the USA, or even each other.

The World is lucky that it was the USA who had them at that time.

You want to uphold what you imagine to be "Western traditions" yet you spew Marxist agitprop, and do so hysterically.

Get a grip. Man up.

Stop imagining that you have ever come anywhere close to the sort of responsibilities Truman had in those times.

(Oh and it was the old European that destroyed itself, not Wilson, and it took them another 25 years after the end of WW1 to finally do it. Jist imagine what they would have done in WW1 if they had had nukes. Wilson was for the most part along for the ride.)

Have I ever said I preferred a Soviet victory? If so, please point to it. Enlighten me!

Since we cannot tell for sure what alternatively would have happened, I guess anything goes.

Who's speculating, did you say?

Oh, I keep forgetting that that means we all should shut up about the August 1945 bombings.

I am unaware of any Marxist thought expressed by this blogger. Please point to it. Help me with my ignorance.

Says the courageous Mr. Anonymous!

Stop beating your wife!

Thank you for enlightening me in my utter ignorance, and please excuse me for even thinking that prolonging the war for about one and a half years had any significance whatsoever.
