91 years ago today, the Persona Non Grata of this weblog signed the declaration of war against Austria-Hungary, after having spoken three days earlier. The motion to declare war passed unopposed in the United States Senate. It was opposed by one United States Representative.
Another day that will live in infamy!

1917 was the great watershed in history. Wilson destroyed the ancien regime, and created the world over in America's image.
Its truly a pity. And I say this as an American.
The United States had no conflict with Austria-Hungary. AH had no conflict with America, Its war was with Serbia, Russia and Italy. All were defensive wars.
Germany sank American shipping and tried to conspire with Mexico to attack the United States. Yet Austria-Hungary gets destroyed yet Germany is left intact. Makes no sense.
