Over at Strategic Culture Foundation, writes Mr. Matthew Jamison:
Western democratic publics moan and complain incessantly about their democratically elected leaders. Yet these democratic leaders are merely reflections of the democratic systems and democratic publics who elected them in the first place. Democracies deserve the leaders they elect. The idea that Western style democracy is the most superior system of government perfected by humankind is a dangerous fallacy and nonsense.

I would think that reflective Americans at this time, given the slate of rather ghastly candidates on both sides (some exceptions to the rule of course) might be a little sorry that their forefathers were so quick to reject the Mother Country!
