In Kaiser Karl’s own words: "...werde ich Strutt nie vergessen; er ist ein Gentleman durch und durch [I would never forget Strutt; he is a gentleman through and through].” ("Kaiser Karl", Erich Feigl, Amalthea, 2006, p. 241.)

I’ve enjoyed reading your interesting blog. Thank you.

Dear Madam:

Thank you for this interesting piece of information and for your kind words.

The late Prof. Erich Feigl seems interesting. He and his works are now duely noted. English translations would be easier for me to read, but the original works better for my practice in the German language.

I must admit, however, that his Armenian genocide denial makes me a wee bit skeptical of him.

It is interesting how "everyone" seems to pass on before the Archduke Otto. Brook-Shepherd wanted to write a biography before it was too late, but Brook-Shepherd was the one to go first.

Again, thank you!
